Directions to the CARC QTH

1. From the South via the A23 (Brighton Road).

Leave the Northbound carriageway of the A23 at Junction 11 (via the Pease Pottage slip road) sign-posted A23 Crawley. Take the second exit at the roundabout - watch for the yellow sign " Broadfield Stadium". Down the hill to the traffic lights, taking the right hand filter lane and turning right.

This is the access to the K2 Tilgate Leisure Centre. Immediately on the right before you enter K2 you will see a narrow lane go up this lane over the first speed hump through an anti traveller chicane with yellow posts (take care) at the second speed hump turn right by a notice board on your right indicating Huts 15 to 18. Turn right up the slope to Hut 18 - by then you will have seen the antenna tower! There is only limited parking on the hard-standing areas. There is more parking at the foot of the slope alongside the access road.

2. From the North via M23.

Leave the M23 at Junction 11 (via the Pease Pottage slip road), turning right over the motorway and take the second exit signposted A23 Crawley. Watch for the yellow sign " Broadfield Stadium". Down the hill to the traffic lights, taking the right hand filter lane and turning right.

(3) From Horsham via the A264.

Follow the A264 to the junction with the A23 by Cheals garden centre (watch for the yellow signs to the Broadfield stadium). Turn right (3rd exit) on the A23 southbound keeping straight on at the next roundabout by the Broadfield stadium. Turn left in 100 yards into access slip road to Tilgate Recreational Centre. See note on access road in (1) above.

3. From the North via the A23 from the Horley/Gatwick direction.

Stay on the A23 Crawley ring road. When you reach the Broadfield Stadium roundabout (watch for the yellow signs) take the second exit. Keep straight on the A23 until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left into the access slip road for the Tilgate Recreational Centre on the left in 100 yards. See note on access road in (1) above.

If you have GPS the NGR reference is: TQ269345 and the postcode of the 'K2' Leisure Centre which is closeby is: RH11 9BQ once you reach 'K2' you will need to fork right up the narrow access road to the Tilgate Recreational Centre and Hut 18
